Posted 24 December, 2005 by TafAnother year has come and gone for Eve Online and earlier this month CCP released the latest expansion Red Moon Rising. Response to the expansion has been awesome and Eve Online now maintains more then 80.000 subscribers and over 20.000 concurrent users at peak hours!
CCP will continue it's program to allow you to trial eve online for free in 2006.

Some new life & a 14 day Free Eve Online Trial
Posted 31 August, 2005 by TafEve-DB.com has finally come back online with a new look and feel. I've also been contacted by CCP asking if we can help promote their new 14 day trial of Eve Online. New players can now download and play the Eve for 14 days for free. You can learn more by clicking here
We will have a small forum up again for you shortly so you can provide some feedback on the new site and design. If anyone is interested in helping out with the site such as writing guides, articles, or posting news, we'll have a section of the forum where you can sign up.
Other than that, spread the news that eve-db is coming back and yes, the database too will be on the blocks for an update and improvement.
A long awaited update?

Just wanted to pop my head out of hiding to let you know that eve-db is still being worked on. Rather than give a spiel about what's happening I'll just give you a quick preview of the new design. It's at about 75% now but feel free to let me know what you think.

Posted 26 August, 2004 by TafFirst let me offer a sincere apology for the mess that's occured over the last couple days in the server switch over. For those that have been around a while, let me apologize for a series of server follies. I hope it's over now and we can move on with the development, but I can't promise there won't be a few more bumps along the way.
Instead of starting again from where we left off however, I'm going to use this server switch to start again from scratch. I've made some mistakes since taking over eve-db, especially in trying to do too much at once. I had a large team dedicated to working on the site and in honesty I did a very poor job in leading it. That said, the enthusiasm and drive that marked the beginning of the eve-db.com remake, slowly started to degrade to the point where things weren't getting done and nobody was enjoying themselves anymore. Throw into the mix that I've been extremely busy with work and haven't played eve online in a good amount of time, the forward progress on the site stopped entirely.
Putting that behind us now, the eve-db community is great, and looking at the stats we do still have some loyal members. Quite a bit of work has been done that isn't yet visible on the site, and now I'm going to personally get involved in finishing it all and bringing it together. I won't give you an ETA on when things will be released, but I will promise it's coming.
