| Corporation Description: | Origin was founded by Maxavius of the Amarr Science Federation. The Origin project was a government funded research project funded by the Amarr Imperial Navy, Special Operations Department. The project was to adapt the technology for jumpgates so that a pilot could choose its exit point without the need for an exit beacon, like the common jump drive fitted to Titans. Testing started in Amarr, jumping shuttles through, with Chaven as its destination. Three months past, without hope. The field strength was only strong enough to send a pilot to a neighboring system. Maxavius was starting to loose hope, and Amarr cut their funding. Baraak Tizhaan and his wife Bariina saw the prospect of the project, so they decided to fund it. Two months later, the team sent a drone through to Chaven, without any damage to the drone, although they never expected it to jump into the loading bay of a station, nearly killing many mechanics. Using this new technology, they adapted their navigation skills to allow nano-technology to interface directly with a ships computer, allowing the first guided jump from Amarr to Chaven. The theory was that if they could use guided navigation ships to jump anywhere, anytime, then with enough power they could jump to the SOL region, and reach Earth. After the calculations where made, they worked out that the power from two stations, hard wired together, could be enough for the jump to SOL, and the ships power core could sustain the jump to land at the destination. Max and Baraak took the designs to the Amarr science council, but they did not believe it would work, so they were removed from office and cast out of the empire. Now Origin's goals are to finish the work, and get home. Since then Origin has been in many battles, making their stand in the northern coridor, with their own PoS to support their needs in the Deklein region, Origin has never lost a single fight. Many pirate corparations have tried to land their hands on the Origin Jump Ship, but so far all have failed. For showing great leadership and dedication to the corp, Maxavius stepped down and handed full leadership and work of the Origin project to Baraak Tizhaan. Since then Origin has grown in size, opening more offices and joining Sinq region alliance, an anti-pirate alliance that defends the Sinq region. |
